Empire poker is owned by Party Poker, and even without the US client base that it once boasted, always offers excellent traffic in tournaments and cash games alike. There is a good range of games with various limits and tables available at all time. The play is loose and challenging, and the traffic ensures that a decent game can always be found. The Empire Poker tournaments have very good prizes, with regular free rolls, and the traffic guarantees good value play. A major benefit is that the site offers one of the best loyalty structure's available in terms of types offered.

The Empire Poker software is reliable and reasonably fast, with very little downtime which is always beneficial. However, Empire Poker is lacking in the graphics department as they show little imagination. The player information on the site is rather unbalanced, with certain features much weightier than others. For instance, there is limited statistical information available, yet the hand history is excellent. The site is difficult to navigate, which can be frustrating. However, Empire Poker is solid and reliable overall. Certainly not my favourite, but with the traffic at the high end of the spectrum it is definitely above average and worth a try.
