Everest Poker recently had a poll that focused on what song their online poker players wanted to have on full volume when all their chips were on the line. The results were quite surprising. They announced that their new survey showed that its European poker clients' taste varies as much as their broad spectrum of playing styles.

The survey took place throughout April 2008, when their European Event Coordinators asked one hundred and eighty six poker players from Austria, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands and Portugal what their choice of inspirational song would be when they are playing an important hand.

Of late, many poker players have started using iPods or computer media players to psyche themselves up before the game. Just like some players use sunglasses to shield their eyes and keep opponents guessing, ipods have also become regular props in poker over the last few years.

The top five tracks for European poker players are:

1. Europe - The Final Countdown - 12%
2. One - U2 - 8%
3. Winner Takes It All - Abba - 6%
4. Eye Of The Tiger - Survivor - 4%
5. Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi - 2%

Some of the songs that received quite a few votes but that just missed the cut include Sweet Child O Mine by Guns N Roses; the Joker by the Steve Miller Band; Queen's We Are The Champions and Heroes by David Bowie.
