Jennifer Harman is born, raised, and educated in Reno, Nevada. If her hometown were the only factor, she would definitely make it big in the poker world. Harman technically started her training when she was on eight. Though it was never formal, she was introduced to the game at that very young age – an edge she will always have against other poker players.
Jennifer Harman is a regular poker player at Bellagio's Big Game and at the high stake tournament called 'The Corporation'. However, she was forced to take a break from playing sometime in 2004. At that point, she has to undergo kidney transplant for the second time. Kidney concerns was a recurring problem in her family. It is a disease that both her sister and mother had suffered as well. After she recovered from it though, she founded CODA or Creating Organ Donation Awareness.
But with that aside, Harman was able to keep two World of Series Poker bracelets up on her sleeves. She got her first in 2000 and the other arrived two years later when she won $212,440 in the $5K Limit Hold'em Poker. To date, Jennifer Harman's winnings have reached $1,850,000.
Harman is currently married to Marco Traniello, who is an Italian stylist, hairdresser, oil ship captain, and real estate agent. Harman's husband, despite having so many professions, has turned out to become a professional poker player as well. Her marriage to Traniello bore her boy twins.
Harman had appeared on TV poker series like GSN's High Stakes Poker and NBC's Poker After Dark. Aside from that, she is also part of the Team Full Tilt. She finished fourth at the World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic and second in the WSOP Circuit Championship.
Jennifer Harman is known for being a ring game player. She is the only woman willing to take on games with high stakes, where the limits usually reach $200,000.
